The common thread is two-strike resilience and productive at-bats after falling behind.
Brandon Young remains the probable starter for Baltimore, though beat-level confirmation was less visible than the McClanahan announcement. He has trended steadier than his early major-league profile, and the Orioles did not need him in relief during the series. If he is scratched or inefficient, Baltimore is better positioned to absorb it because nearly all of its leverage relievers rested Sunday.
The late-inning hierarchy remains unsettled after Yennier Cano's Friday trouble, Andrew Kittredge's Saturday blown save and Cam Sanders' two saves in two nights. Even a sharp McClanahan return probably requires Tampa Bay to bridge innings with a bullpen that already burned its long-relief options Sunday and has a struggling Cleavinger in the middle.
